In its FY2016 results, AGL Energy Ltd
(ASX:AGL) reported a statutory loss after tax totalling $408 million.
The company says this loss was $626 million less than the one it posted in the previous financial year. As for its underlying profit, AGL says it went up 11.3% to $701 million.
AGL declared a final dividend of 36 cents per share, which is an increase of 2 cents per share.
The company declared a fully-franked total dividend of 68 cents per share in FY2016, which is a 6% increase compared to the previous year.
