Transurban reports 17.5% increase in toll revenue to $1.9B

The Transurban Group (ASX:TCL), has reported its statutory profit was $22 million.

The company, which manages toll roads in Australia and the US, says toll revenue increased 17.5% to around $1.9 billion. Transurban also says the average daily traffic at its Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Greater Washington toll roads grew by 8%.

The company also says its distribution for shareholders in the FY2016 is 45.5 cents per share.

As for FY2017 distribution guidance, Transurban says it will be higher – at 50.5 cents per share.
