Cochlear sales revenue exceeds $1.1B

Biotech and hearing aid company, Cochlear Ltd (ASX:COH), reported that its sales revenue surged by 23% in FY2016, and exceeded $1.1 billion.

Its net profit increased as well (up by 30% over the previous year) to $189 million, which was at the upper-end of profit guidance.

For shareholders, Cochlear’s total dividends are up 21% to $2.30 per share fully franked.

Finally, in relation to FY2017 net profit guidance, the company says it will be between $210 million and $225 million, which is an upgrade of 10% to 20% over the last financial year.
