Meridian Energy Ltd
(ASX:MEZ) has released its monthly operating report for June 2016.
Meridian says last month was the third-warmest June on record.
The company also says national electricity demand in June was 1.8% lower compared to the same period last year.
As for retail sales, Meridian says it fell by 2.6% in June this year, compared to the previous corresponding period. The company says this was because of lower corporate sales volumes and warmer temperatures.
Meridian Energy reported a net profit of $97.5 million at 31 December 2015.
