Perseus Mining releases positive gold production update

Perseus Mining Ltd (ASX:PRU) says its Edikan Gold Mine in Ghana performed strongly in the June quarter.

The company says that this mine produced around 40,000 ounces in the quarter ending 30 June, which is 8% higher than what it produced in the March quarter.

Perseus also says, for the half year ending 30 June, it produced around 77,000 ounces of gold, in line with its production guidance.

Furthermore, the company’s Sissingue Gold Project, in the west African nation of Cote DÍvoire, is expected to produce its first gold in the December 2017 quarter.

The company will release its comprehensive Activities report on 25 July.

Perseus reported a net profit of $11.97 million at 31 December 2015.
