Austal Limited
(ASX:ASB) has been awarded four contracts by the US Navy worth over $6.8 million.
These contracts require Austal to provide engineering and management services in developing bridge wings and additional berthing for Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) 6 and 8.
Austal is also in the process of completing an 11-ship LCS contract for the US Navy worth over $4.8 billion. The defence contractor says that this program is maturing quickly, with 3 ships delivered and 7 ships currently under construction.
Austal reported a net loss of $16.8 million at 31 December 2015.
