Amcor completes Alusa acquisition

Amcor Limited (ASX:AMC) has completed its acquisition of Alusa.

Alusa is a large flexible packaging business in South America. It owns four plants in Chile, Peru, Colombia and Argentina, and generates sales of around $375 million USD.

Amcor has a presence in Europe and Asia, and says that the new acquisition will give it a strong presence in South America.

The company also says the Alusa acquisition will boost its customer value proposition in the flexible packaging market.

Amcor reported a net profit of $441.4 million at 31 December 2015.
