SpeedCast International Limited
(ASX:SDA) has been appointed by OC Sport to provide two-way secure satellite communication services for the Transat AG2R La Mondiale race.
The race covers 3,800 nautical miles, starting in Brittany, France and ending in St Barths in the Carribbean.
Each of the 15 yachts competing will be equipped with SpeedCast’s propriety media transmission solution, Clipway Challenges, enabling each team to store and forward video footage of the race to Race Headquarters.
The Clipway technology was developed by Geolink Satellite Services which was acquired by SpeedCast in May 2015.
SpeedCast International Limited reported a net profit of $5.91 million at December 31 2015.
