ASG Group is a specialist ICT company with its business model based on managed services as opposed to transactional projects. Managed services involves long-term outsourcing contracts, long-term relationships, often going for as many as ten plus years in the provision of IT services.
The way that the clients and the industry is moving though is to move back from simply being technologists to business outcomes. Partly this is being driven by what's loosely termed "the cloud", which is really anything, anywhere, anytime.
ASG has looked at this some years ago and has in fact changed our business model to address that. No longer is it simply about providing a service, it's about providing an outcome that provides distinct business and financial benefit to a number of organisations.
