Transurban increases toll revenue for March

Transurban Limited (ASX:TCL) has reported a 13 per cent increase in toll revenue for the March quarter to $451 million.
 
Out of the company’s toll roads in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane; Sydney was the star performer with revenue increasing 13.2 per cent to $197 Million.
 
The company says traffic for the period was negatively impacted by approximately 150 basis points as the Easter holiday period shifted from the June quarter to the March quarter.
 
In Northern Virginia, toll road revenue increased by 79.6 per cent to US$29 million. 
 
Transurban reported a net profit of $62 million at 31 December 2015.
