Telstra Corporation Limited
(ASX:TLS) says it has signed a $1.6 billion contract with nbn to provide planning and construction services within its Hybrid Fibre-Coaxial Footprint.
Early work to support the build of the nbn network into the existing HFC footprint has taken place under a MOU signed last year.
The new contract will see works across all major cities in the Telstra network until completion in 2020.
Telstra reported a net profit of $2.135 billion for the half year to the end of December 2015.
