Qantas group capacity grows

Qantas Airways Limited (ASX:QAN) has announced group capacity increased by 9.5 percent and group demand increased by 9.1 percent in February.
 
Qantas Group domestic capacity – comprising of Qantas Domestic and Jetstar Domestic – was 6.4 percent higher in February compared to the prior corresponding period.
 
Meanwhile Qantas International capacity rose by 10.3 percent, reflecting services added to San Francisco, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore earlier in the financial year. 
 
Over the financial year Group capacity increased by 4.8 percent and demand increased by 6.2 percent, resulting in a group revenue seat factor of 80.9 percent.
 
Qantas recorded a net profit of $688 million at 31 December 2015.
