Lucapa announces recovery of eight diamonds

Company News

Lucapa Diamond Company Limited (ASX:LOM) has announced the recovery of eight special diamonds from trial mining of gravels at the Lulo Diamond Project in Angola.

The diamonds recovered include a 68.1 carat D-colour gem, and other diamonds weighing between 30.5 and 11.5 carats.

The company says the recovery of these large special diamonds are significant, given the largest individual diamond recovered from the initial exploration bulk sampling phase in 2013, weighed just 6.9 carats.

It will focus next on commencing drilling at the high priority targets defined by the company’s geophysical programs.

Lucapa reported a net loss of $2.27 million at 30 June 2015.
