CIMIC Group
(ASX:CIM) says subsidiary CPB Contractors has been selected by GoldLinQ as the preferred contractor for the Gold Coast light rail project.
CPB will deliver Stage 2 of the project including three new stations, car parks and a 7.3 km extension of the line to connect the light rail to the main rail line from Brisbane to the Gold Coast.
The QLD government has set aside $420 million in funding for the project design, construction, operations and maintenance through to 2029.
CIMIC Group reported a net profit of $514.4 million for the full year to end of December 2015.
