Woolworths Limited
(ASX:WOW) has advised that Brad Banducci has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, effective immediately.
Mr Banducci is currently Managing Director of Woolworths Food Group and will continue to act in that role pending a new appointment.
He has more than 25 years experience in retail, including more than 15 years consulting experience to some of the world’s largest retailers.
The company says Mr Banducci was instrumental in the development of the Dan Murphy’s bottle shop chain.
The retirement of former Woolworths CEO Grant O’Brien was announced on the 17th of June 2015.
Woolworths reported a net profit of $2.14 billion at 28 June 2015.
