Flight Centre announces improved first half results

Flight Centre Limited (ASX:FLT) has reported a 15.1 per cent increase in revenue to $1.27 billion for the half year to 31 December 2015.
 
The company says it has achieved record global sales and improved profits, despite challenging trading conditions.
 
Net profit after tax increased 16.3 per cent to $116.7 million.
 
The company says its major expense items including wages, rents and sales and marketing increased as the company expanded its global network. 
 
The company declared a fully franked dividend of 60 cents per share, a 9.1 per cent increase on last year’s dividend.
