Company News

CIMIC Group (ASX:CIM) says its New Zealand subsidiary has been awarded a contract to build the Christchurch Hospital Acute Service Building.

The new building, adjoining the Christchurch Woman’s Hospital will take two and a half years to build and create around NZ$300 million to New Zealand arm CPB Contractors.

The project forms part of a NZ$650 million redevelopment of Christchurch and Burwood hospitals. The latest plans include a new emergency department and operating theatres, a bigger intensive care unit and a state of the art radiology department.

CIMIC Group reported a net profit of $258.2 million for the 2015 financial year.
