Clean TeQ Holdings Limited
(ASX:CLQ) says it will join with Universal Alloy Corporation and Deakin University to investigate the use of scandium in aerospace.
The alliance will seek to develop a range of lightweight materials for the commercial aerospace industry. Testing of Aluminium-scandium alloys for use in aerospace parts will be a focus.
Work will take place at Deakin’s research facilities in Victoria and UAC production facilities in the US state of Georgia.
Clean TeQ made a net loss of $8.225 million for the 2015 financial year.
