Wellard Limited
(ASX:WLD) has advised that one of the two engines on its vessel the MV Ocean Outback has experienced mechanical issues.
As a precautionary measure, the cattle exporter has delayed the vessel’s departure from Western Australia to assess the best forward options.
The company says safety and animal welfare considerations will be at the forefront of any decisions made by Wellard.
Feed, water and ventilation to the livestock on board will be unaffected by the engine issue.
Wellard listed on the ASX last month in a $300 million Initial Public Offer.
