SeaLink Travel Group
(ASX:SLK) has signed a 5 year contract with Sibelco Australia.
Under the agreement SeaLink will service the carrying of mineral sands from Stradbroke Island. The contract expires 30 December 2020.
The company notes the Palaszczuk government have included they wish to end sand mining on Stradbroke Island in 2019.
SeaLink Travel says that should this occur, the contract will allow for mining clean up.
SeaLink Travel Group recorded a net profit of $9.35 million at 30 June 2015.
