Qantas Airways
(ASX:QAN) looks set to have its alliance with American Airlines continued after the ACCC issued a draft determination the code sharing can continue.
The re-authorisation would be for another five years with the ACCC of the opinion the alliance offers better services and scheduling and more destinations between Australia and the US.
Two new services have also been granted interim authorisation. American Airlines will offer a Sydney- LA service while Qantas will begin a new service from Sydney to San Francisco.
Qantas reported a net profit of $560 million for the 2015 financial year.
