Ramsay Health Care
(ASX:RHC) is looking at ways to extend business across the Asia Region.
The private hospital operator confirmed subsidiary Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care has reached a framework agreement for a joint venture with Guangzhou Overseas Chinese Hospital also known as the Jinan University No. 1 Affiliated Hospital.
The two are discussing the potential to establish a number of international standard hospitals in collaboration with Chinese-state owned institutions.
The hospitals are slated for China’s Pearl River Delta which is one of the most densely urbanised regions in the world and one of the main hubs of China’s economic growth.
Ramsay made a net profit of $419 million for the 2015 financial year.
