Cimic Group’s
(ASX:CIM) construction company Leighton Contractors has been selected by QGC to deliver gas infrastructure in the Surat Basin in Queensland.
The project is expected to generate revenue of $250 million to Leighton Contractors over 18 months.
Leighton will provide management, engineering and construction capabilities for delivering oil and gas facilities.
Construction is expected to begin at the end of this year for completion in 2017.
Cimic Group reported a net profit of $258.2 million at 30 June 2015.
