Xero appoints new executive role

Xero Limited (ASX:XRO, NZX:XRO) says it has appointed Tony Stewart to the newly created executive role of Chief Data Officer. 
 
The role will be responsible for accelerating automation, rolling out business systems and innovation of big data with Xero. 
 
Mr Stewart was previously Group CEO of Intergen, a Microsoft systems start-up he grew to a staff of 400 in three countries. 
 
Tony also brings financial management experience to the accounting software company as an Associate Chartered Accountant.  
 
Xero reported a net loss of $68.2 million for the full year ended 31 March 2015
