Centuria Capital Group (ASX:CNI) CEO John McBain said: “We listed on the ASX in 2002. This company was a genesis of the over-50 friendly society, based in Melbourne which started in the early 1980s... we’ve tried to build a group which has clear core divisions and is very transparent and that’s been a bit of a journey.
 
We’re currently focussed and envision remaining focussed on two core divisions. So that’s our property funds management area and our investment bond management area. At the moment the funds under management totals $1.6 billion, however that can fluctuate and increase...
 
The two divisions, whilst they may not appear complementary from the outside, they are highly correlated in relation to the cashflows they produce. You find that the investment bond division has very sticky, loyal customers, over 80,000 policy holders and provides very strong revenues to the group. Whereas the property funds management, whilst it does provide stable earnings, has far more growth potential and it’s the area we’re expending a lot of effort into at the moment and really using our skill-base to expand...”
