Orica Chairman to retire

Orica Limited (ASX:ORI) former chief executive Malcolm Broomhead is set to replace retiring Russell Caplan as chairman.
 
Mr Caplan announced his intention to retire from the Orica Board after more than eight years, effective 31 December 2015.
 
Current Asciano chairman Malcolm Broomhead was elected by the board to become chairman from 1 January 2016.
 
Mr Caplan said Orica has a new, world-class management team in place that is well placed to enable Orica to further build its market leadership.
 
Orica recorded a net profit of $229.4 million at 31 March 2015.
