ResMed records drop in net profit

ResMed Incorporated (ASX:RMD) has recorded a net profit of US$80.40 million in the three months to September, a three percent decline from a year earlier.
 
The medical device maker announced an 8 percent increase in revenue to $411.6 million, compared with the same period the previous year. 
 
Revenue from the company’s US operations increased 23 percent, outstripping its European and APAC businesses whose combined revenue decreased by 9 percent.
 
The ResMed board of directors declared a quarterly dividend of US$0.30 per share.
 
ResMed recorded a net profit of $459.5 million at 30 June 2015.
