Insurance Australia Group
(ASX:IAG) has announced Peter Harmer will replace retiring Mike Wilkins as Managing Director and CEO.
The former CEO of CGU will take up the role effective from 16 November 2015.
Mr Wilkins will remain in an executive capacity until 31 March 2016 to ensure a smooth transition.
Peter Harmer said he is looking forward to leading IAG during a dynamic and exciting time for the company.
Mr Harmer acknowledged the expectations of customers are changing rapidly as they embrace innovation and adopt new technology, as new and different competitors continue to enter the market space.
IAG reported a net profit of $830 million for the full year.
