St Barbara Limited
(ASX:SBM) says it has achieved near record gold production of 111,039 ounces in the September 2015 quarter.
This is 249 ounces below March quarter production of 111,288 ounces.
The gold miner says production at Simberi set a new record and comfortably exceeded the 100,000 ounce per annum target run rate for the second consecutive quarter.
Gwalia’s production benefitted from higher mined volume and higher mined grade of gold than anticipated in the mine plan.
St Barbara reported a net profit of $39.68 million at 30 June.
