We came into being in 2009 when Growthpoint Properties of South Africa recapitalised a listed industrial property trust and what we did then was restructure the company, the board, the management and at that time the portfolio was $650 million of industrial property, so large distribution warehouses. So since that time we have entered the office market and obviously having $2.4 billion today, we have grown quite rapidly through mergers and acquisitions, developments, single asset purchases, and portfolio purchases.
Our major shareholder is Growthpoint Properties of South Africa, they own 65 per cent of the stock. So if you want to know a bit more about us, it would pay to go and have a look at Growthpoint Properties of South Africa but they’re in the JSE Top 40 so they’re one of the largest companies in South Africa…”
