Lucapa Diamond Company Limited
(ASX:LOM) has announced the discovery of a 90.32 carat diamond at its project in Angola, Africa.
The discovery of the large diamond came among other specials recovered from the mining block including a 56 carat diamond and 6 other diamonds of over 11 carats each.
The 90 carat gem has been confirmed as a D colour, Type 11a stone which is among the rarest categories of diamond in the world.
Systematic pitting is currently being undertaken on the Mining block with a view to expanding operations.
Lucapa made a net loss of $2.26 million for the 2015 financial year.
