Ziptel launches app on Apple store

Company News

Aussie company Ziptel Limited (ASX:ZIP) says its Zipt mobile app will launch today on the Apple store.

Zipt allows users to access free and low cost international calls and SMS. The app can be installed on any Smartphone and allows customers to use their existing phone number and SIM card and uses less data to provide clear sound quality in low bandwidth environments.

The app has enjoyed popularity on the Android operating system with over 2 million installs in three months.

A launch on the Apple operating system is expected to drive user acquisitions with a full marketing campaign to commence soon.

Ziptel made a net loss of $5.69 million for the 2015 financial year.
