Sydney Airport traffic up 1.7%

Sydney Airport Holdings Limited (ASX:SYD) says that passenger numbers increased by 1.7 per cent during August. 
 
International passengers increased 3.4 per cent on the same period last year with visitors from China, Singapore and India all seeing double digit growth figures. 
 
Outbound passengers to the Philippines surged by 58 per cent while passengers to Indonesia were up over 7 per cent.
 
Domestic passengers were up by 0.8 per cent with both Qantas and Virgin adding seats compared to August last year.
 
Sydney Airport reported a net profit of $255 million for the 2015 financial year.
