Navitas to close Curtin Sydney campus

Company News

Navitas Limited (ASX:NVT) says it has reviewed its education partnership with Curtin University and will close the Curtin University Sydney operation.

The CUS campus is managed and operated by Navitas on behalf of Curtin University.

The mutual decision allows Navitas to develop a larger campus in the Sydney CBD with La Trobe University rather manage than two smaller campuses.

Navitas plans to wind down the CUS campus by the end of 2016 and will place any students that have not completed their program into alternate programs.

Navitas indicated that it will continue with operations for Curtin Singapore and Curtin College in WA.

Navitas reported a net profit of $72.1 million for the 2015 financial year.
