CIMIC’s Leighton Contractors wins Vic contract

CIMIC Group Limited’s (ASX:CIM) construction company Leighton Contractors has been awarded an Alliance contract with the Victorian Government.
 
The contract involves the design and construction of four of Melbourne’s level crossing removals in a project valued at $481.2 million. 
 
Works will begin at the St Albans sites in a matter of weeks and will be completed in 2017.
 
The project will generate revenue of approximately $347 million for Leighton Contractors over the next three years.
 
CIMIC Group reported a net profit of $258.2 million for the first half of 2015.
