Auckland Airport
(ASX:AIA) has announced a new daily service with Air China between Beijing and Auckland from 10th of December.
The Airport says Air China will bring an additional 123,000 seats per year and deliver an estimated $149 million annually to the New Zealand economy.
China is New Zealand’s second largest international tourist market after Australia.
The Air China deal will be in partnership with Air New Zealand.
Auckland Airport made a net profit after tax of NZ$223.5 million for the 12 months to June 30.
