Company News

Qantas Airways Limited (ASX:QAN) has noted a 1.6 percent uptick in revenue seat factor year-on-year in its preliminary monthly traffic and capacity statistics for July 2015.

Qantas International and Jetstar Domestic led the group's capacity results, with passengers carried rising 5.3 percent and 4.4 percent respectively.

Jetstar Domestic's capacity growth of 3.1 percent was attributed to improving leisure demand in key markets.

Nonetheless, Jetstar Asia has noted a 3.3 percent decline in the number of passengers carried to 346,000.

The airline announced a full-year profit of $560 million in the 12 months to 30 June 2015.
