Ausdrill hurt by falling commodity prices

Company News

Ausdrill Limited (ASX:ASL) has reported a $175.6 million loss in the full year to June 30.

The diversified mining services company has attributed the loss to impairment charges totaling $202.8 million.

It also says tumbling commodity prices have impacted on the Group’s sales revenue, resulting in reduced activity in several key sectors where Ausdrill delivers services.

Ausdrill will continue to focus on the production phase of the mining cycle, with long term contracts in place with major clients.

Given the current operating conditions, the company will not be paying a final dividend.
