Solid first half results for Coca-Cola Amatil Limited
(ASX:CCL) have seen its shares price defy today’s losses to push higher.
The beverage manufacturer reported a net profit of $183.9 million, a modest rise of 0.9 per cent.
Trading revenue for the 6 months was up 4.9 per cent to $2.4 billion.
While beverage earnings dipped in Australia it was outweighed by a 46 per cent jump in earnings in Indonesia and PNG.
The alcohol and coffee segment of the business also showed gains with earnings up more than 30 per cent.
An interim dividend of $0.20 per share will be paid.
