Sonic reports profit slump

Sonic Healthcare Limited (ASX: SHL) has reported a decrease in net profit to $363.3 million for the full year to 30 June. 
 
The figure was 5.6 per cent weaker than the previous corresponding period.
 
However, the pathology giant reported an increase in total revenue of 7.3 per cent to $4.2 billion. 
 
Sonic has just lost a key contract in Canada, which it originally said would bring in more than $200 million in revenue each year. 
 
The company has increased its final dividend by 1 cent to 41 cents per share.
