Fairfax profit plummets

Fairfax Media Limited (ASX: FXJ) has reported a net profit of $83.2 million for financial year 2015, compared to $224.4 million last year. 
 
The company’s revenue of $1.87 billion has also fallen 5.3 per cent on the prior corresponding period.
 
Fairfax says it continues to grow Domain Group, which recorded a 45 per cent increase in revenue for the period. 
 
Domain Group is responsible for real estate website Domain.com.au, a rival to REA Group’s Realestate.com.au.
 
Fairfax has announced a final dividend of 2 cents per share, which brings the final dividend for the year to 4 cents per share.
