Estia acquires VIC aged care facilities

Estia Health Limited (ASX:EHE) has expanded its footprint in Victoria through four new acquisitions. 

The residential aged care operator will pay $181.1 million for the assets and fund the purchase through existing cash and debt facilities.

The latest acquisitions take Estia to 53 facilities, adding 323 places to the company’s existing portfolio.

CEO Paul Gregersen has highlighted excellent opportunities for continued growth through single site acquisitions in line with Estia’s ambition to add up to 1,000 places each year. 

Estia Health reported a net loss of $32.79 million in the first half of the 2015 financial year.
