Origin Energy Limited
(ASX:ORG) says its Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) project has reached a milestone in LNG facility start up.
The energy producer and retailer has advised the project has started loading refrigerants to its Curtis Island facility.
Origin believes the development marks a significant achievement in the commissioning and start up phase of the project.
The company has also advised Australia Pacific LNG is firmly on track for first LNG export in the second half of this calendar year.
The project is an incorporated joint venture between Origin and ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) each with a 37.5 per cent stake and Sinopec with a 25 per cent interest.
Origin Energy reported a net profit of $1 million in the first half of the 2015 financial year.
