The transformation of Sydney Airport Holdings Limited’s (ASX:SYD) T1 is accelerating as the company strives to create Australia’s premier airport terminal. 

The operator of Sydney airport says phase two has now started which is aiming to deliver a world-class airport experience for passengers, visitors and staff.

Key passenger benefits include wider pathways to improve passenger flows, shorter walking distances, greater lines of sight, clear signage and more seating closer to boarding gates.

Sydney Airport says the works have been staged over 20 months to minimise disruption and are due for completion in the third quarter of 2016. 
 
Sydney Airport reported a net profit of $57.2 million over the full 2014 calendar year.
