Sydney Airport Holdings Limited
(ASX:SYD) has shown stronger passenger numbers in May helping deliver a 2 per cent year to date improvement.
The Sydney airport operator says international passengers grew by 1.9 per cent in May while domestic numbers were up by 1.4 per cent.
Asian markets led the growth with visitors from the Philippines streaming ahead by 33 per cent.
The company also noted that American Airlines will be running services from December with capacity set to grow considerably.
CEO Kerrie Mather says Sydney is the number one destination for US visitors to Australia.
Sydney Airport reported a net profit of $57.2 million over the full 2014 calendar year.
