Tabcorp Holdings Limited
(ASX:TAH) is once again in a stand-off with Racing Victoria over the media rights of thoroughbred racing.
Tabcorp have announced that it will no longer show vision of Victorian races on its Sky Racing channels outside of TAB agencies after refusing to roll over an interim broadcast arrangement.
Tabcorp had submitted an offer to Vic Racing that would allow flexibility to have up to 44 meetings a year broadcast on Channel Seven and other free-to-air television.
However the board of Vic Racing prefer a combined free-to-air and digital broadcast deal proposed by Seven West Media alongside a broadcast on the Sky Racing channels.
Racing Victoria says it will continue to pursue a compromise with Tabcorp Holdings.
Tabcorp Holdings reported a net profit of $122.4 million for the first six months of the 2015 financial year.
