Sonic Healthcare Limited
(ASX:SHL) says it will acquire a Swiss medical laboratory group.
Medisupport operates in ten cities including Geneva and Zurich and employs over 700 staff. Medisupport also has one of Switzerlands largest and most up to date genetics and next-generation sequencing laboratories.
Medisupport founders and partners will become shareholders and executives at Sonice after completion next month.
Sonic paid $385 million in cash and shares for the business which will be earnings accretive in the 2016 financial year.
Sonic Healthcare recently made a half yearly net profit of $176 million.
