Pacific Energy Limited
(ASX:PEA) says it has won a contract to build a power station in Western Australia.
Pacific Energy subsidiary Kalgoorlie Power Systems has secured the new electricity supply contract with Saracen Metals, a wholly owned subsidiary of Saracen Mineral Holdings Limited
(ASX:SAR).
The 5 year deal is to build, own and maintain a 14MW gas fuelled power station at Saracen’s Thunderbox Gold Project in Leinster, WA.
The deal follows a contract awarded in February to convert AngloGold Ashanti to convert a mine power station from diesel to gas.
Pacific Energy reported a first half profit of $5.34 million for the 2015 financial year.
