IPH acquires patent law firm FAK

Intellectual property lawyers IPH Limited (ASX:IPH) acquires the firm Fisher Adams Kelly Pty Ltd for $26.5 million.
 
The company says FAK was established 30 years ago and its focus on patent and trade mark law will compliment the work of IPH.
 
Managing Director David Griffith says the acquisition progresses the company’s strategy of building the leading intellectual property group in secondary markets. 
 
The total consideration was settled with IPH shares valued at $4.5892 each with 50 per cent in escrow for two years. 
 
IPH reported a net profit of $13.2 million in the first half of the 2015 financial year.
