Company News

Australia’s largest telco Telstra Corporation Limited (ASX:TLS) has inked a wholesale deal with supermarket giant Woolworths Limited (ASX:WOW).

Under the new agreement Woolies will become a virtual network operator using parts of Telstra’s 3G network.

Telstra says its wholesale product gives companies like Woolies the network access and operating platform to offer mobile services direct to retail customers.

More details of the deal are expected to be released over the coming weeks.

Telstra reported a record net profit of $2.11 billion in the first half of the 2015 financial year.
